Providers - Quick Start Guide
Step One - Signup
You can download the apps via the links on our homepage, www.thatshandy.app, or search in the App Stores; please make sure you download the Merchant App since there is a separate customer and merchant app. Once you’ve created your account, you will receive a unique onboarding link that allows you to complete the Onboarding Process, - This is a few steps: Upload your ID (required for identity compliance and safety process., Select the services and pricing you provide services at. Provide your HSBC, Clarien, Butterfield, or Bermuda Commercial Bank Account Number (Used to facilitate payouts from the platform) and accept the Terms and Conditions. Click submit, and you're done.
Step Two - Download
Merchant App - Download Link (Uses a technology called Onelink to direct you to the App Store of your Device)
Customer App - Download Link (Uses a technology called Onelink to direct you to the App Store of your Device)
Step Three - Verification
Once our compliance team have reviewed your application, you’ll get an email that you are ready to Get Handy!
Set your services
You set your services when you sign up. If you'd like to add services, you can do that through the provider portal or the app. If your service type doesn’t exist, email us, and we will update it for you; currently, you can offer per-rate or fixed job charges in your profile currently but we have a range of improvements coming to this in the fall.
Update your Portfolio and showcase your work.
Done via the Handy Pro portal here, this will update the images in your gallery on the app.
Ensure your Bank Details are registered and correct on the signup
This should be done when you sign up; if you made an error, select your name icon in the top right side, and there you can view/amend your bank details; please ensure that these are correct as this is how payouts occur from Butterfield
View your earnings
Log into the provider platform, and the main screen will show you Total Revenue, which is your earnings less fees from using the platform.
Check your Pay-outs
Log in to the provider portal and select pay-outs. Pay-outs are made on a fortnightly basis, and this will show any payments due to be paid out.
Set your Available Status
Either from the App, click the person icon and availability toggle between on or off. For example, if you are taking a vacation or don’t want to accept jobs on the weekend.
View Jobs
Current jobs will show via an in-app push notification; they can be viewed by logging on to the Provider Portal, interacting and accepting a job done via the App.
Accept Job
When a customer requests you for an appointment, jobs will show via an in-app push notification; they can be viewed by logging on to the Provider Portal.
There are three stages to Job Management.
STAGE ONE: Pending - A customer has asked for your services, and you either REJECT OR ACCEPT the appointment request. (we are working on some enhancements here, like proposing a new time if it doesn’t meet your schedule) If the time they have requested doesn’t work you can accept the job and message the customer through the app to say when the time will work for you, regardless of the appointment time.
Once you accept the Job
STAGE TWO: Go To Job will prepare you for the job; billing has not started.
STAGE THREE: Start Job - This will commence the billing and billing will run until you complete the job.
STAGE FOUR: Complete Job - This will close off billing charge the customer and issue the invoice based on the rate that you set and the number of hours at the job (auto call calculated) if you charge a fixed rate, e.g $65 per appointment that’s what will be billed regardless of time
PS If the time the customer has requested just drop them a message and suggest a time that does work, you should decline the job though, while they rebook

Provide your ID document and why we need it
When creating your profile, you submit your identification details; we use this to provide a level of trust and security to our customers, which is a two-way system and customers know when they open their door to service providers that we have vetted them and only ever used in case we need to report anything to the police.
Getting Verified
Once the team has reviewed your ID documents, you’ll have a verified tick added to your profile, and you can accept bookings. You will get an email. 🎉
Updating your pricing
Once your profile has been approved, you can update your pricing by selecting your profile and services.
Receiving Your Earnings on That's Handy
As a valued Handy Pro, you have convenient options for receiving your earnings:
Direct Deposits: Set up direct deposits to automatically transfer your earnings to your bank account each week. It's hassle-free and ensures you get your payments regularly; this is a direct deposit to a local bank in Bermuda. (Butterfield, Clarien, HSBC and BCB are all supported)
To keep track of your earnings and review detailed statements, visit your payouts section in the That's Handy app. Here, you'll find a breakdown of your completed jobs and any additional charges or reimbursements.
Transparent Pricing
Know Before You Book!
With That’s Handy, you’ll always get upfront prices—either per job or per hour—before confirming any service. No surprises, no guesswork, just clear pricing so you can relax while the work gets done, knowing exactly what you’re paying for. The fee is fixed at 14% for the customer amount for example a 1 hour job, at $100 you’d pay $14 for the platform fee. For Merchants they pay 10% which is subtracted from their payout.

We take into account estimated trends and demand to ensure pricing is fair and transparent. We also factor in things like taxes, fees, and surcharges (with no hidden costs!). All of this is built into the price you see upfront.
