The That’s Handy app is a digital platform that allows individuals to offer their services (known as “Providers”) to clients seeking assistance with various tasks, such as cleaning, moving, or furniture assembly.

How do I download the That's Handy app?

The That’s Handy app is available in the App Store or Google Play Store. To download it, use the links found on the home page

What are the requirements to become a That's Handy Provider?

To become a Provider, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Have permission to work in Bermuda for the tasks you are completing.
  • Own a smartphone compatible with the app.
  • Have a Bermuda bank account for payments.
  • Provide personal information for a background and ID check.
Is there a fee to register as a Provider?

No, it is completely free to register. Sign up online and provide your details to get registered.

How do I update my availability?

In the provider app, navigate to “Profile” and then toggle the switch labelled “Availability Status” to show your profile as available for work 

How do I receive payments for completed tasks?

Payments are processed through the That’s Handy platform and deposited directly into your bank account weekly. Ensure your bank details are correctly entered in the app.

Can I communicate with clients through the app?

Yes, the app provides a chat feature that allows you to communicate with clients directly, ensuring all interactions are documented within the platform.

What should I do if I encounter issues with the app?

For troubleshooting:

  • Restart the app
  • Log out and back into the app.
  • Restart your device.
  • Uninstall and reinstall the app.
  • If problems persist, contact That’s Handy Support.
How do I update my profile information?

Navigate to “Profile” in the app, where you can edit your photo, bio, skills, and other personal information to ensure clients have the most up-to-date details about you.

Can I set my own rates for jobs?

Yes, as a Provider, you have the flexibility to set your hourly rates for the services you offer.

How do I get more jobs?

To increase your chances of getting tasks:

  • Maintain a comprehensive and updated profile.
  • Set competitive rates.
  • Ensure your availability is current.
  • Promptly respond to client messages.
What is the That's Handy Happiness Pledge?

The Happiness Pledge is That’s Handy’s commitment to client satisfaction, offering support and assistance if a task doesn’t go as planned.

Are there any prohibited tasks?

Yes, certain tasks are prohibited on the platform, including those involving illegal activities, medical procedures, or any task requiring a professional license that you do not possess.

How do I manage job invitations?

When a client invites you to a job, you’ll receive a notification in the app. You can review the task details and choose to accept or decline the invitation.

What should I do if I feel unsafe during a task?

If you ever feel unsafe, remove yourself from the situation immediately and contact local authorities if necessary. Afterwards, report the incident to That’s Handy Support.

How do I deactivate my That's Handy account?

To deactivate your account:

  • Go to your Account page in the app or on the website.
  • Click on “Deactivate.”
  • Ensure all active tasks are completed or cancelled before deactivating.
